The P&G Alumni Event in Photos

The P&G Alumni Conference was such a great experience that I wanted to share some of the photos I took. There were over 600 attendees, including CEOs from American Airlines, Logitech, Intuit, HP, Google…an amazing who’s who.

Let’s start with a couple selfies. Here I am just before the event started, taking a walk in the labyrinth at the Smale Riverfront Park. Why there? The park is named after John Smale, a former P&G CEO and it’s close to the hotel where the alumni event was held. Bringing a labyrinth to downtown Cincinnati was the reason I joined the Park Board many years ago and I’m proud the Barr Foundation was a sponsor.

On to the P&G Alumni Conference. Here I am at the event. Not quite the same meditative experience as a labyrinth but uplifting nevertheless!

I was honored to be included in the P&G Author’s Alley. This is an area where recently published authors like John Pepper, AG Lafley, Jim Stengel, Lisa Hillenbrand and twenty others signed copies of their books. I have to admit it was gratifying that The Fido Factor ended up being one of the best sellers!

Here’s a photo of former P&G CEO John Pepper holding his copy of The Fido Factor. John later was Chairman of the Board at Disney.

Here’s an inscription John wrote to me in his book What Really Matters. They don’t get much better than John Pepper.

Speaking of inscriptions, here’s one from my dear friend, Jim Stengel, in his new book Unleashing The Innovators. Jim capped his P&G career as the company’s Global Marketing Officer.

It was so fun to catch up with friends like Sue Baggott!

What a thrill it was to be asked to present Lessons from The Fido Factor at the P&G Small Business Symposium. Here is a photo from that speech.

Overall it was an exhilarating few days. As I think about how my career as an executive coach and consultant has unfolded, I have to credit my P&G experience for shaping who I am.
